Evan Woodbery of MLive Media Group reported that Pilkington was released from Triple-A Toledo.
Pilkington had MLB experience with the Cleveland Guardians and Washington Nationals.
The Tigers will face the Yankees in the Bronx on Monday night, looking to improve their 35-49 record.
They are currently 14th in the American League, on a L2 streak, after losing 5-7 to the Houston Astros on June 28, 2026.
The team will look to bounce back from their recent losses.
Konnor Pilkington did not appear in a game for the Tigers.
He had gone 1-5 with a 5.40 ERA in 23 Triple-A games before his release.
